hi rob,

i would say that if you have had no luck so far then the answer is probably yes its too high.....

in my small experience also in selling cars once you go north of £10k to sell a car quite a few purchasers will want finance which means a dealer.....when i sold my TD6 it i advertised it for £10k i think.... not a sniff even though it was tip top.... a inde dealer bought it for £8.5k and promptly sold it for £10.5k......

i am looking for a range at the mo but am after a petrol because i test drove a tdv8 3.6 and was underwhelmed by the engine etc

i guess it depends on how much you want rid of it..... i am looking at £7k depreciation on my Q7 in 12 months....

It's too high in my opinion.

I paid significantly less for a very similar example (spec, age and mileage - even colour). I did shop around for a while and hopefully got a good deal and there are a couple of minor (to me) issues - time will tell.

During my search I saw newer vehicles / lower miles / higher spec for similar / less than your asking price - including from dealers. They were outside my budget.

I am still seeing the same cars popping up for sale on my eBay notifications that I looked at 3 or 4 months ago and dismissed as too expensive.

I ended up selling my Jag for less than I wanted (thinking back it has applied to most cars I have sold) so I know the pain and I hope you get as much as you can for it.

GLWS

Will have to drop price a bit again Crying or Very sad to be honest thought it would fly away considering the amount I have spent on it, engine work, wheels and tyres and bits and bobs total nearly 7k 🙄 so car itself is not that dear, still, lesson learned I supposed, big boys toys cost big money, keeping it not an option so will have to bite the bullet and reduce again, someone is going to get a very sorted car at right money.

Rob stop! You wont sell it on here. Peeps are looking for the bargain under the bargains.
Tried twice to sell on here and got only shameless offers and timewasters asking pics of everything to never come back to me again or even asked me to look in to flights and than never came back to me again.

Sold in two weeks on carandclassic.co.uk for the price I wanted. 12500 is a good price.
Patience is a good thing in selling. Thumbs Up

Winter is coming and prices will go up a bit

that could be a good option but i would also say that you see the other side of the coin too where people advertise their car at unrealistic prices as unfortunately you never get back the money you spend on the improvements (i know from experience lol)

you should try ebay too and just put a reserve on the minimum that you will take and then the market will tell you how much its worth etc
