Help with headlining material

Gday.

Ive finally succumb to the dreaded parachute headliner. Its not touching heads yet but its only a matter of time! Ive down the rounds here in Australia of motor trim shops and no one has anything like the material thats there.

Mine is a 2003 L322 TD6 with Ivory.

Does anyone know anyone in your part of the world i.e. Northern Hemisphere, that has a supply of the correct material. I would need enough for two vehicles as a friend has the same problem.

Im looking forward to any leads or info that anyone might have.

Thanks heaps

Jim

P.S. keep an eye out in the Feb 2017 issue of Land Rover International. Im in it with my collection of 13 Land/Range Rovers Series 1 1948 (oldest Land Rover in Tasmania)

Is it not possible to find a headlining from a scrap or accident damaged car. The headlinings are premoulded to shape so I'm not sure how successful trying to refit using even the correct material would be.

Jim, There is a supplier in Aus who sells correct foam backed cloth via ebay for A$19mtr wide enough for the roof. I have done 5 cars with it and can only say highly recommended. 1 x Disco, 3xP38 and one L322, all matched very close. They will send samples FOC. My car now, a TD6 I covered with Suede material from Aliexpress, maybe not everyones cup of tea but I think its excellent and stuck for good.

Here in US you can buy it at the chain store fabric store. Matching color is another issue. Mine is due soon too. If I pull the headliner a local shop will do it for $150.

Oddly compelling. Is it real leather?
