I've been on the forum a few months now however realised I hadnt introduced myself and my new car.

I picked up the FF in May and have had a very pleasant time with it so far!

It's main purpose is to get my out of fields once I've landed my glider, a 4x4 is ideal! I used to own a Disco when I lived in the middle east however wanted something now with a nicer interior. As it lives at the airfield and I dont cover many miles I went for the 4.4L petrol. 91,000 miles and owned by the previous owner for 8 years so a great find i felt.

Since buying I've added side steps (well, 1 so far on the drivers side- need to tap some dodgy threads on the passenger side first!) and I've also upgraded the entertainment system with a Android touchscreen unit. The write up on how to do this on the forum was a godsend! Two of us over two days to install! Also installed a wifi reverse camera at the same time.

If anyone needs any of the old parts, they are in my garage- drop me a message!

Also added supercharger vents.

Only issue I have that I havent got to the bottom on is lack of lights on the instrument cluster- I've had the LCM off for repair to fix a problem with the lights and full beams which is fixed. Maybe its the cluster maybe its still the LCM!

It's even been on a trip to Stuttgart to deliver a glider and managed 23mpg which was better than expected. Tows fantastically

Have you investigated the little rotary panel switch next to the light switch? It should brighten the lights on the dash. If that's faulty, I guess they won't come on?

Yes the switch to adjust the brightness works- it only changes the LCD display at the bottom of the cluster however!

Also, it means the centre console and radio lights also don't come on, so driving in stealth mode at night haha

It's a DG300, 15m single seater. A very fun glider to fly

Loving the RR, and like the idea of the glider, just not sure about the lack of a fan on the front of it, might be a bit warm without it And you're right, great towing machine.

The stuff I play with has a fan on the nose to keep the pilot cool. For anyone unsure about this, just watch a pilot start sweating if the fan stops turning.

The lack of the fan for me is the appeal- the adventure of it all, will I make it round the racing task, will I not... Hopefully!!

Whilst I dont have a fan, I do have a thing called a rudder- you'll know it as the footrest haha

Now, time to go fly as we have an afternoon of actually soarable weather this afternoon and I have a half day off

Hi - Welcome and lovely Range Rover, very nice colour and trim looks in good order as well. Looks like you have the roof rails fitted ready for roof bars to be attached.

I lost the fan over Reading in a Warrior it fell off completely had to pan into Blackbush and it was never recovered

Wow!! That mustve been a hell of an experience!
