New Discovery pricing

So, I watched the launch and one or two things struck me as odd.

First, it looks like someone took the design for Discovery sport, set the zoom option to 130% and said, "Yep, that'll do!"

But, I do like it although it doesn't look as purposeful as the Discovery 4, well I did like it until I played around with the online configurator Laughing

So this is HSE, no design packs, the 3.0 diesel, and some tickable options.

More costly than a 3.0 Vogue Rolling with laughter

What are Land Rover on? Strong drugs comes to mind.

Are there any real pictures of the new Def yet?

There is proven psychology behind making the cars in the whole range look the same or at least have details in common. Briefly put, it helps sales when the cheapest in the range loos like the most expensive in almost every respect but size.

I'm sure I read that LR wanted to take the FF further up-market to compete with the AWD Bentley and the up-coming offering from Rolls and s such, the D5 would move up to to take the place of the FF and the DS would follow suit

Unnecessary quote removed

It is a bit expensive but it's hardly representative of what you've highlighted above. The basic price for the HSE is £58.5K so you've added £16K worth of options. I specced an HSE Lux 3.0TDV6 with 21" diamond turned wheels, Metallic and Driver control pack (Adaptive cruise etc) and it was £67.5K Whistle

OK it's ugly, it looks korean, it's to expensive, but then again it will sell, so I'm the one that's wrong.

But Stan I love your new logo, you've moved up from the nineties with Mr. Bean to Sheldon Cooper and his friends.
You've just jumped a whole century forward Laughing Thumbs Up

That's the DC100 concept and LR have already said that it will be nothing like that. There are loads of conceptualised drawings around which are people's takes on what it MIGHT look like and all purporting to be the new Def but the fact is that LR have kept it very, very much under wraps and there are no real images yet. AFAIK that is.

Oh, so do I, just not really understanding the pricing structure.

Mind you, I do like that new Active Key. Wonder if it could be programmed to the L405 Question
