Any one know of a good body shop,would like rear tail gate and bumper plus a few side panels repainting,car java black, in the stockport area.
Been quoted £400 for bonnet £250 a side panel £370 for tail gate.Is this reasonable?
Any recommendations for body shops appreciated. Full fat 4.2 Sc

Hi there just had my upper tailgate and rear arches painted at paint perfect on green lane in Romiley. He does lots of range rovers and they seem to be very busy.I showed him the rusty rear arches and he said they grind the rust away then apply stone chip then paint over the stone chip.With my tailgate he removed the range rover letters ground the rust away then filled and painted the tailgate and put the letters back on.looks like a really good job .Only time will tell.
It was £380 Inc vat. A word of warning he told me that he can't guarantee the tailgate would remain rust free as they are badly designed/ rustproofed from new. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

Cheers,just contacted them by email,most body shops wont guarantee anything where rust has been so not overy concerned,place near me wanted £370 plus vat just for tailgate and didnt want anything todo with rebadging ,said they were a pain to do and i could get a new set on feabay and do it myself. Full fat 4.2 Sc

They seem to know what they are talking about. They said it would be easy to put the lettering back on as they were in good condition and would cost me £80 for new ones and no point throwing money away. I'm very happy with the job they have done. It took 3 days and they actually rang me when my car was ready too. Which is a nice change. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver
