if you go near the alps then possibly a set of snow chains ...les gets and chamonix have had snowfalls recently so you will need to be careful...

its a sticker you put on the front windscreen that costs 40 chf and this allows you to travel on the swiss autoroutes, its like a toll charge..

Driving through France you need all sorts of gubbins in your car, including a breathalyzer IIRC. |

You don't need a breathalyzer. The law was introduced a while ago to make them compulsory. They then decided that, although you should have them, there is no penalty if you don't. |

Depending which side of Switzerland you're intending to go to, hence how many French péage (toll) autoroutes you are likely to use, and for how much time en route your girlfriend is likely to wish to sleep, a Sanef autoroute toll tag can be jolly useful.

+ 1 for the toll tag, no annual fee and it lets you through the T lanes which are gnereally quicker. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

i've never used a tag ...i've also travelled in the summer and winter and havnt really been held up, if fact slowing down from a fast run to go through the toll kinda breaks up the monotonous journey.. ... - .- -.

It's not to bad at the tops if you are travelling with someone, the tag comes into its own when you are 1 up and have to get out at every toll! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

agreed it does makes sense to have a tag when on your own....but you could reverse through the toll and pay cash/card.... |
