iphone contacts won't sync/pair with L322 but phone is fine

I have a 2011 Vogue SE, where my iPhone6 pairs immediately. However, the contact list pairing is pretty infrequent. It's impossible to gauge why it wont pair. I've got it to pair once before but I'm unable to replicate this again.

Should it not just pair with the phone in the normal manner?
Consequently, when someone calls me, I cannot see who it is before I answers as the contact isn't shown on the screen.
No call history is paired either.

Please can anyone help?
Cheers

Hi, in your Bluetooth list on your phone find "Land Rover", next to it is an "I" click it. In here is your contacts and recents so my guess yours are off and unchecked.
Once ticked your contacts are updated every time you pair with the car.

Named caller never comes up aside from sometimes when the call is answered so sadly useless. Many thanks
Paul

my windows phone does similar. it always pairs with the vehicle and 3 years ago it worked with all contacts showing in cars on screen phone list. then about 18mths ago it only started to show some of the numbers. changed phone and changed vehicle to another L322 - still the same.

is this 'i; thing on the Nokia Lumi phones too? dont have it to hand Cheers

James

Thanks Pvw10

I have already looked at your suggestion and everything is checked or ticked.

I previously unpaired the phone and unchecked everything then paired it and then checked everything and at one point it worked. I then left the car, went away, came back, phone paired and no contacts/address book appeared.

It appears to be software related, but no idea whether its the car or the phone.

A friend has a disco 4, similar set up and all his numbers and names show up and he can choose who he rings from his LR. If I remember, its the same unit as I have in the front of my RR.

There are so many variations I guess, what one LR does versus the other, there's no link.
Cheers

Mmm never had that but once I had no phone for a day or so, I then did a hard reset on my phone and it all came back, have you done that recently ?

My 5S, 6 and 7 all act the same so I think LR software, or lack of. Many thanks

I turned my iphone off to charge the other night, usually, I don't, I just plug it in. Now the call log has come back so I can see (with names ) Recent call, Missed calls etc. But the phonebook is missing again.
Weird. If not frustrating when tech doesn't work.

Infuriating

I've given up, I have all the contacts and it updates any changes plus I have history so only caller I/d missing which I can put up with.

Have you tried the hard reset as it's worth doing plus clears old rubbish from the phone ? Many thanks
Paul

Thanks again

I have my call log at least, so I can make a call to a known person that way, but no phonebook and no caller recognition.

I give up.

Cold start the Iphone helps a lot.

Press and hold the Home and Power Button until your iPhone / iPad reboot (ignore the "Slide to turn off"), you can release both buttons when you see Apple logo. All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Mine has started doing this now.
It seems to pair straight away and then it drops the connection and doesn't re-connect.
Also when connected i can no longer select my phone book.

Guessing its something to do with the Apple update?? annoying especially its now 6 points if you get caught with your phone in hand!!!
