headlight power washers

i did the front end conversion on my 54 plate td6, the whole hog wright down to a new washer bottle and three new pumps. the problem is the power wash on the head lights doesnt work, they used to work when they had wipers on the old setup but now nothing, does the car know it doesnt have headlight wipers now so doesnt operate the wash part? if i power the new motor with the probe it pumps water out on to the lights at a right old rate as you would expect but nothing when the its conected to the car. one other thing what resistors do people use for the side light flash and fast indicator flash to resolve the problem. thanks arron.

Hi yes you will have a problem as the headlight washer is fed from the headlight unit the best way to do this is join the wire from the screen wash to headlight wash then when screen is washed so to will headlights

But then you will empty the tank rather quickly as the ECU will ignore the built in logic for when to run the washers...

Could the BCM have detected that the motors arent present? So its dissabled the washers? For example assuming that its SE spec without wash/wipe?

Hi if you look at the left hand plug that fed the old headlight you will see it has 4 wires the little yellow wire is the feed to the pump it is controled from the bcu but it was via the headlight so to control it again you have to do wiring mods im unsure what actually goes on within the headlight but will look into it, if you look at wiring diagram the pump is just connected to headlight
