Brand new 3.0 V6 Supercharged - Thoughts vs 3.0/4.4D

OK other than fuel economy which is pointless these days, is there any opinions on the n3.0 Supercharged?

Is it growly or what?

Anyone driven one?

Looking to order new or very very low miles from main dealer.

Discuss...... all smug in my new plug!

The 3.0 S/C is a fine engine. I've driven it in the Jaguar and it pulls very well all through the rev range. Not driven it in the RR but it ought to be good based on 380 odd horsepower and supercharged torque.

Hardly. 1750kg for the jag versus 2200kg for the FFRR. I know women who could add that sort of weight just by being a passenger.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

My son took me out in a 3.0 Supercharged Jaguar XE last night, very quick 0-60 in under 5 seconds but too raspy & loud even for a 27 yr old so not sure it would suit FF, more suited to a 3 series BMW competitor.

That's only exhaust tuning. The S/C v8 in the F-Type R is ridiculously loud yet the same engine in the FFRR is very much more civilised. No difference in power output either. I can't see LR fitting a noisy exhaust to a FFRR.
