United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Adriatic Blue
Wheels!!!

Hi all

At some point I intend to make my only modification to my FFRR.....some new wheels.
At present it has some rather sad looking 18s. Standard issue for HSE in 2002 I would imagine.
I dont want to go above 20s. I have seen some quality 2010 Vogue wheels on ebay going for £1500. This is a fair wedge of cash so would need to know they are gunna suit the car. Also seen some 19 and 20 Vogue alloys from 2006-07ish which are alittle cheaper at 400-750 quid.

What would people recommend??

depends how much money you got mate....
there are RRS wheels that fit the FFRR but some dont like them ..
personally i would go for the sub £500 ones , and dont forget new nuts and locknuts are required cos the black nuts you have a t the moment wont fit properly... ... - .- -.

Ive got an 04 Vogue V8 on standard 20" and picked up a set of 20" originals from an 04, £400 on ebay with good tyres

the Michelins are near £300 a corner, so bargain really

Ive put winter tyres on my original set and got 8 good summer tyres now in total ...should last me a few years

I like the new style wheels, but not *that* much to justify the spend

take a look on ebay, often some OE 20" for sale, I dont think 19 are enough difference to notice

keep the 18's for winter tyres cheers

Thanks lads. There is a nice set of 20 Vogues on ebay at the mo for 350.

So is it well worth having different tyres for winter and summer??? Obviously with my old audi I just used the same one all year around, but I guess it makes more difference on a FFRR???

proper winter tyres e.g. M&S marked for EU market winter use make a huge difference on any car in winter, when its minus 10 or colder

stopping distance alone on wintery roads is worth it to me ..and better grip in snow

if you put them on say October and off in March, one set should last a few years

in the big scheme of things, not costing you more in rubber, just the £40-50 to swap them over twice a year...or free if you have your own jack/tools and can be arsed Smile cheers
