Ok so to do this upgrade you need a couple of parts

1. You need one of these PTV interface cards http://pibus.info/tv/ they come from Australia so takes about 2 weeks to arrive.

2. You need the correct (and supported) digital TV tuner from AliExpress this is the one I used https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/D...59396.html this comes from Singapore so takes quite a few weeks to arrive.

2. You also need 2x of these to convert the TV tuner connector to the SMB connector that is used in the car https://www.aliexpress.com/item/F-Male-to-...&tpp=1

3. You have to remove the TV module from the car, dismantle it using the instructions from http://pibus.info/tv/ the instructions on there are a little outdated and haven't been updated with the changes to the TV tuner. But in essence you remove the old analog tuner module from the casing, then mark and drill 2x 10mm holes in the top of the casing to allow the new aerial connectors to be fitted. The PTV board and TV tuner module are mounted to the main circuit board using a few risers and it is connected to the main board using the ribbon cable from the old analog tuner. The marking is a bit tricky to get right before drilling. The PTV board allows you to control the operation of the new DTV tuner using the normal factory screen button and the steering wheel controls.

I have been playing with it more today and i have discovered that the signal is perfect when stationary however it would be better when on the move with some sort of signal booster which I am looking into, I believe there is a an option to provide more power to the cars built in antennas as by default they are supplied 5v and I have seen a further mod to supply them up to 12v to get better reception.

Overall I'm very pleased with the upgrade and the picture quaility is superb!

recently done this update myself, luckily I had the easy to convert AA type on above website, you can however type in to aliexpress digital TV bmw confirm with the seller it's for the L322 and they send you the whole kit no buying separate part's, I unfortunatly cannot test it as still no range rover on my drive since returning the last one
