vogue central locking faulty....not the key!

Hi all, im new here and to range rover ownership. ive just bought a 2009 vogue from a scum bag dealer thats told me to sod off after i called HER when i got home with the car to say the key didnt lock or unlock it, drives fine
Had the key checked out and its fine, tride some of the re-coding procedures ive read on line and nothing works, it appears to be the car at fault.....any ideas where to start checking??

Based on past experiences, it could be the car but I think the L322 works slightly differently, hard to tell without it in front of me.

But basically I've had cars where the little flap in the ignition barel was stuck open, and the car thought the key was in therefore central locking didn't work. Used a bit of graphite spray to loosen it up and it worked fine ever since! Worth a look ?

it registers the key being put in and taken out fine, if it was stuck wouldnt it beep all the time telling you youd left the key in??

I wonder whether the problem might be with rear door locks being sticky, I had that problem with one of mine. Only Range Rovers since 1988

They do sometimes lose the sync with the car, maybe reprogramming them would help....

Not sure how you do it on your year though.... Pete

There is a way to do it, I agree with Pete it sounds like the key has lost sync.

It's on here somewhere,

Have a read here and try the methods shown
