Can anyone explain the model/year differences associated with the L322 Grille in MY 06/07? I have seen some cars (like mine) that have the supercharged grille and other cars of the same year with straight slats? Does the supercharged grille just go on the supercharged and V8 3.6 diesel cars and the slatted grill on the Td6 cars of the same year?

I've gone a google search and can't find a definitive guide to the various grill changes post 06.

There are 3 different fittings over the years - with different styles within that fitting.

The original was rectangular 02-05ish

The two facelifts had different lights & bumpers - and the grille is shaped accordingly - the first facelift was 06-09ish and the second was 10-13ish

As a TDV8 you're first facelift - your current grille has headlight cutouts, you can swap for a supercharged one (of the same generation) if you like (but not a grille for the later L322 with twinkle lights)

To actually answer the OP's question about 06-09 grills;
The external facelift came before the internal facelift so for one year you had TD6's and 4.4 V8(with new Jag engine and six speed) with the stepped front bumper ,smaller head lights , three gill side vents and the new slated bumper plus the new
supercharged with it's individual side vents and Grill . Then came the internal facelift and out went the TD6 to be replaced with the 3.6 TDV8 which has the slatted Grill and three gill side vents but could be ordered with the Supercharged grill and vents if you asked . I hope that makes sense . It all changed again in 2009 but we are not talking about that are we ? 2008 MY Supercharged
