Its a basturd , I did it by absolute blind luck, not much help sorry, but I feel your pain. At least you didn't fit a new cable wrongly which pinged off when the door shut and you then had to bend the door card to get the fecker off.. Big Cry

Offer up the door card and make sure the inside handle is pushed in, then insert the black plastic end in and it should clip in,
I know its a pita, but practice makes perfect. Very Happy

One of my pals has this problem with his ffrr.. turns out that it's the cable window regulator slipping, and the only fix is a new regulator... and according to my pal it's a rather involved job Sad Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Changing regulator is not as bad as u think miggit. I did it myself and it took a coupla hours but then I am a complete numpty when it comes to things like this. But all good and all working fine.

I just don't understand why the glass has to come out Rolling Eyes Rave isn't very clear on why, from what I can make out the regulator doesn't come out through the glass opening... so why do they remove it? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Because of the shape of the rear door (with the rear wheel arch curve) the glass cannot be lowered enough to fully clear the 2 retaining bolts - It covers one of the retaining points of the regulator if left in. You have to remove the glass to be able to get your Allen key/Torx thingy in.
