I had a 1992 3.9 on LPG but what I wouldn't give for one of these early ones. Like the bloke in the video, I just think they look awesome. They really did have a presence back in the day.

Pendine Sands I drove across and got stuck on the beach through high tide and ended up driving into the sea and up the jetty and in turn the diff with salt water and pitted the engine. Range Rover quotes.....

I enjoyed the film too, thanks for posting. My first RR was a 2-door Classic, happy memories. 13mpg when recently serviced and carbs well balanced, otherwise nearer 11. It rocked from side to side when one blipped the throttle, a 'feature' lost on later Classics with anti-roll bars. Handling was pretty good even for the late 80s, it must have been a revelation in the early 70s. Tough enough to win the Paris-Dakar rally too, nowadays the production class is almost all Toyota... Only Range Rovers since 1988

Is it just me, or has the car in the video been fitted with a diesel engine?
