I was going to do an oil swap with the vacuum pump I got to do SWMBOs car, coincidentally I had the part I ordered off Dan arrive a week or so back, it's the "dipstick tube" which goes from the vac point down to the push on fitting at the bottom of the sump.

When you have changed the pipe, please will you take a more detailed closeup photo.
I am trying to figure out if I can make some form of easily fitted adapter for a better seal using a vacuum pump.
No rush because I have one more full service included in my warranty package, but I intend to do as much servicing as I can after that.

SWMBO has brought me a Draper 'expert' 10 litre hand / pneumatic vacume pump for xmas which comes with a whole range of top pipe fittings. Took 5 weeks to arrive FFS - only just in time for Santa to put it in his sack!

Not used it yet but it does look the canines testicles. £90.00 delivered. I would have assumed the cover needs to be fitted over the small outlet tube and not down it. Looking at the pic I can see why!
