that is an odd thing to do. I know I want to update the grill only on mine, I like the 2010 plus cleaner grill look but to me I would always say its 2007. If i had a 2003 i would write that also, its like a badge of honour and a testament to the base strength of these vehicles.

Yep its a bit strange if the reasoning is to make folks 'believe' its a newer model as this is not the place to be so naive. Owning an early 02 HSE or the last 2012 Autobiography is something to be equally proud of. If however its relevant to the posting then i don't really see its an issue.

Its a bit like telling folks that your other car is an 'Aston" or a Jag or whatever when posting - if its relevant then great but if not why bother?- each to their own I suppose 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

The FFRR certainly gained some tech and other goodies over its lifespan, but if we are ONLY talking looks, I like them all equally and wouldn't bother changing any bits. Yes, I'd pick a 2012 5.0 SC over a 2002 Td6 if the budget allowed, but not for the newer look.

As when it comes to price vs performance, the older ones look very good indeed.

I run a private plate on my '02, in order to "de-age" (a bit, as it is actually for a 1984 vehicle!) as opposed to "re-age", yet that is enough for many of the great unwashed to think my car is only a couple of years old! (as long as i don't point out the rusty bits Laughing

I will always call it an '02, looks like an '02, sounds like an '02, must be an '02 Laughing .
