Ctek battery charging.

My car is about to be laid up for 4 weeks.
In the past I have connected a battery charger via a timer, set to come on 4-5 hours per day and everything has been fine when I have returned.
I have just bought. Ctek 5 charger to replace the 20+yr old one, so my question is, do I just connect it directly, or should I still connect via the timer for a few hours per day? G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

Just connect directly. The C-Tek is a battery maintainer that monitors the battery state and charges accordingly. 2006 4.2 S/c

As above. I have one connected to my Mustang and you just fit it and forget about it. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Yep, fit and forget. I've used these devices for a number of years on irregularly-used bikes and cars and they are superb. 2006MY 4.2 SC
