Welcome Thumbs Up

Aux input is possible, but not entirely straight forward..... You need to swap the Satnav unit for a BM54, then there is a BMW Aux in kit you can buy from a BMW dealership. Once you plug it in, as if by magic, the head unit recognises it.

There are some instructions here - and if you search there are loads of other threads on the subject

Ha ha, I beat you to it, John! (Weegie)

It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

Wow - on a 54 - that must have been one of the earliest - good luck with finding a solution Thumbs Up

My MOST car was a Vogue SE which had Rear Seat Entertainment - which provided an Aux In, so I didn't have the pleasure of trying to find an alternative.

I did subsequently fit the RR iPod integration kit, which as a hugely overpriced way to get control (of sorts) through the head unit. I wouldn't recoend that route unless you are desperate

It's on MY 2005, Alistair, which was second half of 2004.

54 plate goes into 2005. Wink

The Trioma system, linked to above by Steve (Bébéchoon), is a more useful and cheaper way than the RR kit. John

Your right it was registered January 2005, but my surprise everything works👍I hope I haven't now jinxed myself now but in the six months that I have had her I have spent over £1500 on her and she still need a few more bit done to her but I wouldn't be without her and I still have a smile on my face when I get behind the wheel 🚗👌
