Just been having a play on topix and put my VIN number in to try and get the full build sheet but it doesn't tell me much, this is it:

CAB style 4 DOOR ESTATE
Engine 3.6L Diesel
Drive RHD
Transmission 6-Speed Automatic 6HP26
Air conditioning HIGH OUTPUT AIR CONDITIONER

Shouldn't it list every little detail? (car is from Northern Ireland originally though if that makes a difference)


It also says that P054 - FRONT BRAKE HOSE DURABILITY is outstanding, is this likely to be accurate? I would have thought the stealers would have informed me when I went to buy my deployable sidesteps the other week, they put the cars details in to make sure they gave me the right kit, surely it flags up there! Current

The front brake hose is a recall, and FOC at the main dealer. So worth getting done.

It possibly wouldn't flag up on the parts department computer, or would be in a different section of the screen, so unless you were asking they would have no reason to look for it. At the end of the day get it booked in, have then change the hoses and get a free wash and vac out of it.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well, dropped the car off at 08:30 this morning, was booked in for a 'while you wait' job but managed to get a lift home, think I was in the house 10 minutes before the phone rang. "Sorry sir your caliper pins are seized and we don't want to proceed without having spares ready".

Went to collect it and they are contacting LR for permission to fit 2 new calipers  Current

Mine ended up with two new Brembo calipers fitted (07 TDV8) when it went in for its hose recall

Took them nearly two weeks, during which time they gave me a brand new Discovery Landmark 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!
