Electric / Auxiliary Coolant Pump Dead

My Aux Coolant Pump seems to have died - I am getting 12V supply to it, but no resistance on the motor terminals.

Probably going to be a replacement jobby needed, bit irritating as this now means the heater is a bit naff at low revs and "Rest Heating" doesn't work Sad Thankfully the FBH has its own circulation pump so that still works or I would probably kill myself.

Anyone know if a BMW unit will work?

Actually, I'm sure there's a BMW pump that will work. Just finding it... Try from an E53. 
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and LM
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

Agreed - none on the bay. I've found a BMW unit for £63, but the LR one is about £75 so may not be worth the hassle.

Just to close this one off, my mechanic replaced the pump for me.

Parts and labour came to £90, so not too bad.

Upon further investigation this pump failing is a leading cause of HG failure on older BMW's as there is very little flow in the cooling system at idle and this pump really is needed to avoid hot spots in the heads.

Another thing that can fail are the coolant cross over valves that direct coolant to either the heater, engine or both.

Part Number was JJK000010
Internet price seems to be around £95 inc VAT + Delivery

I can't find much mention of that side of the cooling system in the shop manual FFRR 4.4 V8 Vogue LPG MY03 Black/Sand
