Poor reliability saves the day.

Questionable reliability came up trumps for us today. We set off for a walk in Yorkshire this morning and after a few minutes got the dreaded booiinnng - problem with air suspension - I didn't think it was that serious but wanted to get the IID tool to have to hand in case it became worse. Anyway, we turned back to grab it and lo and behold the front door of the house was wide open with an Amazon delivery driver standing there!

It turned out the door lock was faulty and had just come open when the driver knocked, he was worried because he thought we would accuse him of breaking in - I sorted the problem out but if we hadn't come home the door would have been standing open all day on an empty house.

The suspension problem seems to have gone away for now and we have a fixed front door!!

It's inspired me to write a series of children's books about a faithful Range Rover, called wee Fatty, that helps it's owners foil a number of crimes in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Did wee Fatty manage to work out why the Landrover dealers haven't been arrested and charged with bare faced theft ?

I came home to my old ground floor flat, one evening to see the door wide open. And my blood ran cold. They obviously taken everything, as they'd dropped the kettle, on the way out.

I peered in, funny, everything still there, grappled an umbrella, and search house, all good!

I had left door nearly closed, when defrosting the car, with kettle etc. And just driven off! All I had left to do, was clear up all the litter and leaves, that were in the lounge! Must have been open for 9 hours!

I hope I leant a lesson, and it doesn't happen again! I was too worried about leaving the car running etc!
