But what an engine! Very Happy

I've only ever driven one (in an open top F-Type) for 10 miles, but it was is and will probably remain the most fun I've ever had driving a car!! Laughing

As seems to be the way these days we are all obsessed it seems with how fuel efficient our cars are, and I don't just mean fatties, everyone is doing it.

For the first months of having my Westie I was very OCD, noting the mileage and actual fuel put into the tank and comparing the mpg with the trip computer. Car said 30-32mpg and I was actually getting 26-30mpg with a varied mix of journeys and driving styles.

Once I realised that my long term average was never really going to change that much I stopped noting the mileages and fuel used and now just enjoy driving it.

After all, nobody buys a FFRR because it's fuel efficient and cheap to run..... Whistle

Agree regarding the on board computer but as both my before and after readings are using the same inaccurate method I still consider the increase in mpg as a real one. I also agree about not obsessing about mpg. I have had 5 Range Rovers starting with a P38 so mpg is clearly not too high on my mind. However when you know others with the same car are achieving mpg much nearer to that stated by jLR and you are experiencing much less it's worth trying to understand why? Now I seem to have fixed things I also think it's worth sharing as I know others on here have experienced similar disappointing mpg. 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream

In fairness I think they do really well for a big old bus but my point was just about the inaccuracy of the system Thumbs Up 2016 SDV8 Autobiography
