Diff Oil Confusion for 3.6TDV8

Hi all, I am going to change the diff and transfer box oils but am a little confused as to which oil or quantity i need after reading numerous threads using the search function. Seems I have search overload confusion.

Front Diff Seems Standard Castrol SAF-OX - 75W/90 0.75 Liters so no problem there

Read Diff Seems to be Castrol SAF-OX - 75W/90 1.15 Liters for the Non locking rear diff (which I believe mine has as there is no mention of it on the build sheet) The confusion is that on one post they state the 3.6TDV8 needs the same quantity and oil as the 4.2 SC with locking rear diff which is a different oil so not sure if this is the case as other posts state the same oil for the 4.4TDV8. Banging Head Banging Head

Could someone please let me know if its the same oil for the front and back and if I buy 2 liters will this be sufficient?? Thanks in Advance.

Thanks very much thats exactly what I need. 2 Litres of the same it is then!! Thumbs Up

Thought the transfer box oil would be easy but that seems like there are various threads with alternatives mentioned which are cheaper and the same as the Land Rover branded one!

When I did all the oils in mine I used CASTROL SYNTRAX 75W90 for diffs and transfer box. Regards

Thanks Mark I had read that the transfer box just needs a good quality 75w90 oil elsewhere.
