Netherlands 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

First of all, the tips from Defenderr are all a MUST....

Then, find a parking for your FFRR, the city was built 5 centuries ago, not car friendly at all... and please get on a bike. Just like half a million people in Amsterdam do every day. This is their bike parking lot, near Central Station.

Some suggestions for lodging: if you like some naval history, try the Lloyds Hotel. This used to be directors offices of NDSM shipping lines, back when we still ruled the waves - all the way to Indonesia. It's a bit out of city center, like Docklands to London though.

If you like something unique, try the Faralda Crane hotel, it is at the new developments in Amsterdam North.
Short (and free) river cruise to get there, from Central Statiin straight across the IJ canal.

Or the true classic Americain Hotel, in 1930's Jugenstil art deco style. Very well located in city center, and magic breakfasts.

But above alll... get on a bike !! Mark Offringa

I'm living not too far from Amsterdam at the moment. Great place to go. Agree with Defenderr and MarkNL comments.

If you enjoy fish this place is a must - very popular.

Like everything else in Amsterdam you need to book in advance to ensure you can get seats.

Hi John,

Not during the holiday. It was very nice how you helped me!

I later replaced the compressor and all the air springs.

What sort of tempreature can we expect around this time of year?
Do I need my Icelandic parka?
Or will it be similar to UK?

The weather here is more similar to the UK weather than the UK weather is similar to itself Wink

Amsterdam is closer to London than most (if not all) of Scotland.

All joking aside the weather here is roughly the same as in London.

No its not - its bloody colder here Wink The wind seems to go straight through you...... You definitely need heated seats and a heated steering wheel Thumbs Up

Wrap up like you would in the UK and you won't go far wrong Thumbs Up
