Fitting new thermostat

Morning all! I've sourced the stat and I have a stock of g48 coolant ready to replenish the system.. I've read Peres write up which will be a huge help! Only thing I'm at a loss with is sourcing the tool to take the fan off? Any help would be appreciated, also is it accessible with the fan still in place? Worth a shot Laughing thanks

Halfrauds sell the spanner that fits the viscous fan nut the trick is to stop the pulls rotating so you can unscrew the fan( it's left hand thread so don't forget otherwise your just tightening it more)
You can get special tools from the tinter web, but I just use da large flat bled screwdriver and locked it between the pulley and the back of one of the mounting bolts.
Applied some force and it feels like it's slipped but that's it freeing off, I'm not responsible for and skin loss if you go down this route.
