Hid light flickering

Noticed the passenger side Hid bulb flickering on my 54 plate ff.
What's the chances of it just been time to replace the bulbs or is
It the ballast on the way out , if it is - is worth buying 2nd hand or new.
Anybody had this experience and remedy
Thanks in advance

To 6000k any way, just did not know whether
This was a common problem I.e ballast
Cheers
