A/V off ....HELP?

Hello all,
I have a 2005 RR, 3.0 D, vogue since 2009, bought it with 58k miles and now on 210k. She has not been treated harshly, no major off-road , no towing, motorway miles mostly. After spending fortunes fixing, replacing, repairing (gearbox, alternator, power drain issue, wing mirrors, suspension, wiper motors front and rear, A/V system, shocks front and rear, steering column, electric seats driver and passenger, air compressor and a hundred other niggles I have forgotten about, here we go again with a new snag....A/V off.
I have trawled through the forums and done the '753' and am getting 'B100F25 companion video input failure'? Yes, I have read a lot of the possible causes but I am wondering if somewhere there is a step by step guide on video or text on how to do this myself. Now I know the power drain issue I once had was linked to the Info/entertainment system but back then I just flung money at some clown who raped me royally. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I know all of her nuances, noises, clicks, whines, purrs, knocks and screams for help, we have a full on love /hate relationship a bit like my wife but I wont abandon her either! Help me fellow RR martyrs.....
Jamie.

Thank you for the answer but switching it on is far from the issue here, this is not my first rodeo with the L322 however this issue is, radio is intermittent, A/V off flashes every 4 or 5 seconds, cannot set the clock, Cd will not load , sat nav will not work, screen would not power off and drained battery, screen is on then off and on etc etc etc

No answer is better than a smart hole answer, if you can help , GREAT , otherwise. G. F. Y.

Rolling with laughter

Your first ever post is a rambling one and it is unclear what your actual question is......

Stan offers a perfectly reasonable answer - people have been confused by this message before.

Then you insult our beloved moderator Shocked

I'm sure we'll all form an orderly queue and bend over backwards to help Whistle

Without trying to insult anyone, I am humbly requesting assistance with an A/V off issue.
To be clear, The light on the volume button flashes , When it is switched on the radio/cd/tv bar greys in and out and speakers go on and off, I cannot access the info screen below the speedo, the cd player does not work so I assume there is an issue with the MOST. I asked in my original post if there was a step by step on how to resolve the problem or identify what the problem is. Any assistance would be nice, for as you rightly pointed out a newcomer to the site but not a newcomer to the pain of owning one of these vehicles.
J.

I got one of these which is more convenient than the biro method as it is a straight plug in.
