Snap, picked up my 1st stone chip about the size of a 20p without n 800 miles from new. FFRR screen does appear too fragile. Stone that hit was small & hardly heard it, but unsightly star crack on the passenger side. Paul

We should have a poll on windscreen cracks...

The day before I was due to collect my new Vogue 4.4 AB I got a call to say they had gone to fill the car with fuel and got a cracked windscreen in the process. They loaned me the dealer principles 405 and it has a windscreen chip. The screen is on back order - what is going on?

Part of the problem re windscreens for UK drivers will be the inadequate maintenance of the roads, as there are lots of potholes, broken surfaces, edges etc there are also lots of bits of stone on the road to be thrown at what is quite a large target. Only Range Rovers since 1988

On Tuesday travelling on the motorway at the speed limit (100kph), no cars in front and nothing on the opposite carriageway. Presume it was something dropped by a bird !
