Faulty LCM

Hi Guys

Done my thermostats and temp bang up to the middle and lovely warm heating. Now the LCM is failing I think.

Indicators stuck on. No hazards. Then the brake lights stuck on. Took the LCM out and stuck in the airing cupboard over night. Then it worked so maybe a reset or drying it out from any possible moisture. Next time I use it no headlights no indicators. Next time all works.

Is this an indication to a faulty LCM ? Can these be repaired or can I use a second hand one. ? I understand these hold the mileage in the eprom (maybe the chip can be swapped from mine.....

Any suggestions. Thanks

No one any experience with these ?

Very hit and miss one day you have all lights next day indicators dont work rear lights do etc

If you disconnect the battery and re connect all good for another couple of drives... Big Cry

Missed this first time around, but the brake light switch (under the pedal) has been known to cause similar problems (especially brake lights stuck on) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Mine was moisture in the unit itself causing the problems. Now we are in "summer" it has no issues.
