As title I'm getting back into a full fat , I just couldn't scratch that itch in a Toyota

I'm thinking of buying VK56 PXO vogue TDV8 in the Birmingham area it has full fattrr stickers on the windows so who was the owner and what do I need to know about it ? Good or bad

That was me - traded it in 10 days ago against a motor for my wife and wondering what to buy next for myself!
Reason for selling - I am back doing high mileage (over20k per year ) and needing something uber reliable for work. Problems with the car so far - few.

Front ball joints are a bit grumbly over very poor surfaces,
Fuel gauge occasionally fails to register when ignition turned on with about 1/4 of a tank .
Since I owned it, all oils changed and engine oil done at 12k or less intervals
EGR fault shortly after I bought it but supplying dealer picked up the tab for new.
Wheel bearings on LHS both done
Front brakes new last autumn and rear pads done
LH front ABS sensor changed at Christmas
FBH serviced last years - worked every morning this winter.

Main issue was worry about increasing mileage and long term reliability but I've not had any clues of impending doom!
good luck if you decide to go for it. I hope it gives someone as much pleasure as I have had. Taking a rest from Land Rovers for a bit.......

Thank you for the honest opinion of the car it certainly puts my mind at rest that it wasn't traded in because it's got a dodgy box or a failing engine etc etc , I expect a few little issues to sort out which will keep me busy I'm sure

One other thing I should have mentioned - I did fit a tow bar when I bought it to tow a small box trailer - under 750kg as my trailer is unbraked. I towed about 3000 miles out of the 40,000 or so during my ownership but never anything heavy. I took the tow bar back off to recoup my investment. I used a factory trailer kit so the wiring in the boot is unmolested! Taking a rest from Land Rovers for a bit.......
