Doubt it will be write off. As Rob99 says there are formulas of repair cost vs value involved.

Would have thought cost under 2k to repair but that's a guess - am getting a quote tomorrow...

nah, they won't re-shell it for that, have a look for wackyjims post from a few years back where the back of his was mangled by his son! a lot more damage than that.

the body panels would be available but looking at it it most likely would pull out, it depends on any damage to the interior of the panel and the rear cubby too.

Yes looks like it will pull out.
No damage visible in the cubby, there is a void between the outer panel and the electronics 'racks'.
Won't be a write off.

Oh wow, i am sure the police will want to get involved now.... CCTV showing an non insurance driver hit your car and leave without leaving an note.

1, Leaving Scene of an accident (Most likely slap on the wrist)
2, No Insurance (6 Points)

And you can easy take him to small claims court with evidence you have, and police report.

Also you have emails from him admitting guilt. If was me for the low cost smalls claims are i would just file it against him for the cost to get fixed and he will most likely just pay up and going to court would cost him more in fees...

What baffles me is I presume its a London address and London has the highest number of ANPR cameras in the country and to drive around with no insurance just baffles me.

Unless the car is regged to another address like the previous owners never changed the details or using false plates.?

Also how is he getting away with no insurance with the amount of traffic wardens London has. Range Rover quotes.....
