Land Rover Convoy 2017 Announced

Hope it's ok to post this Stan and I haven't overstepped posting rules, please remove if I have!

For those of you who missed the Lands End to John O'Groats Convoy this year, dates have been announced for July 2017. You can join the Facebook Group to be kept informed and get to meet some of the guys from this years run. It was a great success and lots of people are enthusiastic about the next one.

Subscribe to FaceBook Group "Land Rover Convoy Club - Tour of Britain Stage 1"

Here's the blurb:

Ok the long awaited 2nd trip. 28th - 31st of July is stage one of the tour of Britain. In the rolling countryside of the south of England. Each year will feature a new stage until the whole of the uk is covered. Covered over a long weekend and taking in some of the famous and world heritage sites in the UK.

This stage starts in Somerset and camping will be at the same location each night. Food vendors and plenty of toilets are already pre booked and will be on the farm I live on.

On day one 29th we head out to Stone henge taking some time to walk about and enter if people wish to do so. Concessions are about £13 plus parking but we're in talks for a better rate. From there to Glastonbury where there will be time for people to walk the tor or visit the shops and museum.
Then the drive back to camping taking in a drive trough cheddar gorge on the way. Once back there'sa choice of rebel town pizza or taste of the wild. Also plans for a hot drinks vendor.
A communal bonfire and a local band are all planned.

Day 2 we plan to take you all on a trip over exmoor and dartmoor stopping at Princetown for lunchtime. There's 3 pubs to choose from or bring a picnic.
Then back to camping for yet more fun and games.

The final day will be a drive down to the coast and head on the picturesque roads to Weymouth to stop for lunch if desired then up to portland bill for an amazing views of the jurassic coast. There we say goodbye

And we start planning stage 2 for you all.

As with LEJOG there will be merchandise that will go on sale soon.
Profit from all merchandise will go towards entertainment and facilities on the campsite.
The ticket price will also reflect these needs and will go on sale in the near future.
The charity's at this time remain the same and after the event all profits left will go to them.

Keep watching for updates as we go.
