spark plug helicoil

hi guys old Censored spat out spark plug yesterday taking head threads with it any thoughts or info on subject how to fix in situ with helicoil. which set to use that is long enough to reach plug hole .

Whilst I am game to try anything - this is one of the jobs I would get someone in who does it for a living - like a "glow plug man", or "thread doctor", or similar.
Local independent garages may know someone? Some of them sub that type of thing out to avoid ****ing the job up and taking responsibility.
This is my local guy (no good to you but you get the drift)

thanks for that will see if someone can do it tried all locals but they are not willing to risk swarth in engine

Head off job that one.
cylinder head needs to be removed, drilled, tapped and helicoil fitted.

head dont need to come off job is not that difficult getting rid of swarf main problem i have studied this over last couple of days and found an insert the best way to go. got a good mechanic coming sat with all the gear so fingers crossed will keep anyone interested posted.

If you can use a time sert they are in my opinion a bit better than Helicoil used them on my p38 very good they are too

all good now used insert put lots of grease on router bit caught all the swarff on the bit. used high heat threadlock on insert engine running nice and sweet fingers crossed . time will tell . lesson to be learned dont leave plugs unchanged for 3 years .
