Upgrade to Logic 7

Hi all,

Quick question for those in the know. My touchscreen Vogue has the DSP but not Logic 7. I can lay my hands on a Logic 7 system from a 2005 touchscreen model. Will the system work or are they different between the BMW and MOST setups? Failing that, are the Logic 7 speakers a good upgrade?

The BMW stuff is not interchangeable with the MOST system, but as you have a car on the changeover with perhaps the mix of kit I'm not sure. I know the logic 7 speakers should be an upgrade by themselves from what I hear from others.....

You may have Logic 7 but just older door cards without the little badge , do you have the setting for Logic 7 in your audio settings screen? 2008 MY Supercharged

If you have the touchscreen sat nav system then you will have logic 7, the speaker covers will just say Harmon Kardon on them. Press the lower left toggle buttons to get the audio settings and it will have the logic 7 option, select it and the difference will be noticeable.

I have the 2004 non touch screen HK Logic 7 system. It sounds great. Don't think all Logic 7 systems use MOST.

My bad - just re-read my original post.

Missed the non- from in front of touchscreen Embarassed

So basically the question is will a Logic 7 system from 05 touchscreen FF work with a 04 non-touchscreen FF. I'm guessing not...

However from what I've read, the speakers on their own may be a worthwhile upgrade. 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile

If your sat nav is non-touchscreen then you wont be able to use anything from an 05 touchscreen system, as the old BMW system is not MOST. I don't think upgrading the speakers will give any benefit, as the Logic 7 setup is more of an electronic amplifier system, the HK Speakers are probably the best for the FF's as is.
You may be better off trying to source an upgraded DSP to get the best out of the speakers.
