IID Tool for 2006-2009 Range Rover L322

This is a non Bluetooth version. It comes in the original box with instruction and USB cable for connecting to a PC to download updates from GAP

The tool will need recoding for your VIN via the good chaps at GAP Diagnostic, costs £25, all done via email

They are a great tool and by far the most recommended diagnostic solution on this form – do a search, plenty of threads

Hi Graeme, I'm interested in this but just want to be sure it will work on my RR, perhaps you or someone else might be able to confirm this.

Mine is a 2006 TD6 HSE, original Irish car, where as I note you had a TDV8.

I know it says it's for 2006-2009 but I'm just afraid the 2006-2009 tool is perhaps only for the newer TDV8 and the TD6 falls in the earlier version.

Having said that I see in the GAP website that the range in for IIDTool Range Rover L322 2002-09.

Also, have you just used this using the instrument cluster or have you used it with a PC, assuming it can be used with a PC?

Sorry for all the questions, first time dipping my toe in the IID Tool pool, it was cheap bluetooth tools and iphone apps before this...

And I guess I should have asked, can you post this to the Republic of Ireland? if not then disregard all of the above.

Hi, This will work on your car, but you will need to pay to have it transferred to your VIN number. The non-BT IIDTool will only work via the cars instrument cluster and controlled via the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, there are no remote connection options.

It's the PC bit that's confusing me, according to the GAP website " The alternate PC based interface via USB cable only is also available. It replicates the integrated interface".

Is there 3 types, 1 for BT, 1 for use on the instrument cluster and another one that's PC via USB?

Maybe that's a new feature I wasn't aware of. When I had the non-BT version, there was no other way to use it.

I don't know if it will work with a 2006 TD6 - perhaps drop Patrick @ Gap a PM or email?

Similarly, I cannot comment on interfacing with a PC as I only ever used it via the instrument cluster
(very easy actually and handy when you're miles from home!)

The only time I plugged it into a PC was to get the latest updates from Gap
