People seem to fight shy of the OEM nuts with the stainless cap. I am sure that if they are only ever tightened to 140Nm iaw LR spec then they will last for many years. If Gorilla Minimumwage from Random Tyre Chain gets near them with his Ingersoll Rand impact gun (1057Nm) then their life expectancy drops to about 0.25sec. My old ones have obvious signs of massive overtorquing of the caps with the ends being out of alignment by about 10-15 degrees. I will have to use a special nut remover socket and a scaffold bar to get the |
