L322 SC Leaking rear diff

Hi all,

Another problem... Still love it though Smile
Noticed a couple of drops of oil on the drive, had a look and it's coming from the rear diff.
Seems to be where it joins the driver side shift (pic)
Is this an expensive one? Or just a seal?

Also is it worth taking to a Land Rover specialist or should any indi be able to sort this out?

Cheers. G

Fairly simple repair, if not time consuming Thumbs Up

Yep Thumbs Up

Though while it's apart, it would be worthwhile checking the oil level to ensure it's not overfilled, and that the breather is not blocked, to help prevent any possible future issues

Cool.
Think I'll get a garage to do it, doesn't sound like a easy drive way job.

Cheers for your advice Mikey.

Alternatively I could come to Dundee if it's a "while you wait" job?

Had this done a local garage, 2 hours labor, new seal and oil and all seems good.
Apparently the oil was a bit mayo'y but not too bad. The sump plug didn't have a lot of fragments either.
So hopefully this is fixed and other thing off the list.
