L322 Coolant hose renewal schedule

All
Having purchased a 2007 L322 3.6L TDV8 on arriving home we had our first coolant leak, this required a new coolant tank and top hose renewal. After pressure test garage reported no further leaks. Having driven only 200 miles we have another leak, with loss from coolant tank. Having seen a video from American supplier where they say all hoses should be replaced at approx 105000miles, is this confirmed in any LR Literature I can refer to in order to get the supplying garage to change all hoses?

Thanks for any references I can refer to,

 Steve

Nowhere in the LR literature does it say that any on the hoses need changing as a matter of course. Naturally some will go over time. Check the condition of the hose coming from the bottom of the coolant tank, it rubs through in some cases, if you rub your hand down it from the tank to the engine you may feel a groove where it's rubbing!

Easier to do with the headlight removed.

Can you see any physical damage on the expansion tank? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the advice, the expansion tank was replaced last week with the top hose from the radiator which burst. Will attempt to check the line you mention as soon as possible, I don't expect to be able to remove the headlamp this week, will report back when I know.
The info re hose renewals was from AB in the states, so possibly their marketing? Steve

Presumably you've had a sniffer test done to rule out a pressurisation issue causing the top hose to burst?
Lost coolant can be down to leaking thermostat housing - not easy to get to - I found mine was when I was halfway through doing EGR valves. Some here have had success with backlit boroscope - to view it 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted

Many thanks, this test is something that hasn't been suggested to date- will ask the Garage to check this out as well.

I did see the Thermostat housing split and the photo post, very informative, I hope it's not this. Steve

Update

Following further annoying coolant leaks on the drive, we eventually had the radiator renewed under warranty - at last everything seems dry, no more loss from header tank and a dry drive, fingers crossed this has now cured the issue for a while.... Steve

Update,

Having suffered loss again of coolant, I am now advised after advice from a what I can confirm is real enthusiast garage has confirmed HEAD GASKET FAILURE!- on both banks of the TDV8! After the engine has been removed- both banks have proven evidence of failure towars the rear- lets hope this is now cured otherwise what is the next course of action?

Having had radiator/ hoses etc changed after purchase and still the coolant system failing is there any recourse with the legal route even after the 6 month period expiring?

Any thoughts appreciated. Steve
