3 Peaks Challenge in 24hours - Personal and Charity

This all started a year ago when it dawned on me that I wasnt as yound as I thought and that I should do something to improve my health for the future. I stated going to a small place that concentrated on fitness classes, rather than a standard gym, with a few personal training sessions as well. Now I go to the gym 5 times a week with my son (qualified fitness instructor now) and regulary do hill walking. It's been a struggle but well worth it for where I am now.
For the last couple of months I have been contemplating in doing something to really challenge myself with my improved fitness, and today I have signed up to do the 3 Peak challenge in 24 hours on the 2nd September.
If you don't know what it is, then it's to climb Ben Nevis (1345m), Scarfell Pike (978m) & Snowdon (1085m). In total I will walk about 36km, climb over 3000m (and come down) and drive over 450 miles in 24hours.

I have also decided that it would be a good opportunity to raise funds for a local charity - A Child Of Mine - Supporting Bereaved Parents
A Child of Mine is a registered charity supporting families across Staffordshire and UK and working alongside healthcare professionals when a child has died. They are a small charity but work passionately to deliver services locally for families who have lost a child at any age or circumstance.
The provide confidential support, information, guidance and a listening ear after the death of a child. They also provide groups for both younger and older children who have suffered the loss of a sibling and for parents who can meet others who have been through the same journey.
They are starting to make a huge impact to the lives of bereaved families by increasing wellbeing, improving emotional health and by providing access to much needed information, guidance and emotional support. They work closely with healthcare professionals and the major children’s hospitals across the country including Alder Hey, Great Ormond Street, Birmingham and Bristol. They educate on the needs and experiences of bereaved parents which helps to improve the care they give in the future.
They are passionate about making a difference to bereaved families and providing them with as much support as possible during the dark days that lie ahead.

Therefore if you would like to sponsor me, any little amount makes a difference, in this challenge and raise much needed funds, then please visit my JustGiving page - http://www.justgiving.com/3peaks-casey
If you are a business and would like to sponsor me in return for some advertising during the event, then please get in touch.

Thank You
