I've recently replaced my fuel pump due to cutting out and stalling and the cars now running fine.

However the fuel gauge is only reading about three quarters when I've clicked out at the pump I'm assuming either I've damaged the unit fitting it or the new floats stuck.

Has anyone else had similar problems or no a way of testing it.

I think the answer is strip it all out again but hoping someone else has another idea.
