Scotland 2003 Range Rover SE Td6 Epsom Green
Possible suspension prob

Gawd one thing after the other.
Had one front trailing arm (I think thats what it was called) replaced the other day.
No issues.
However, today on M/W hit a bump, white line, anything and the car rear end feels 'live'
As if no shox
Had it up on ramp, nothing. No loose things.
Suspension level, up and doon as it should.
Tried to manually move it up/doon. Nope.
I dont understand the suspension bags.
Are ther shox inside?
Any help or ideas would be welcome as ah haiv a 2000 mile trek in a few weeks.

The front bags have shocks inside them which is why its recommened to change them in pairs - well that and sods law says the one you don't change will fail aboit 7 days later. As far as I know the rear are just bags without shocks in them.
Not really sure what to advise as possible issues - check all the bushes to see if any have failed ? How are the tyre pressues ? Make sure nothing has obviously come undone underneath the car. I am assuming its something you have only just noticed which would indicate something has failed which should help to narrow it down. Is it possible the garage have accidently done something when they replaced the trailing arm 2008 TDV8

the rears the shocks are separate "standard" units on the front side of the lower arm. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had a quick look and nothing untoward found.
Noo, mechanic jacked front O/S up to work on car
I am wondering if the rear shox was on its way oot and this finished it off?
Easy fix so e bay here ah cone?

Just remembered that I have replaced then some 60000 miles ago.
But its been off road so maybe the cause? Made in Scotland frae 'Girders'

Nothing visible so just going to replace both rear shox and cross me fingers.
This is when ye start 'imagining' things and how the car was before.
AND I think it was 'live'
So maybe the shox was done.
Aw weil, should be an easy fix.

****Update****
Got a pair of shox
Fitted one nae probs
Went to do the drivers side this morning and on taking the wheel off the top bush on wishbone is visibly shot.
Problem looks like to be found so getting sorted next week.

Can someone please point me to the part number?
I will also be looking but its noo a rush job as need the car.

I presume you mean the upper hub bush (links the wheel hub to the suspension arm).
I did mine last year before the MOT using Lemforder parts (Dan at Duckworths stock them)

The part number i quoted is the Land Rover one, the Lemforder one is 28881 01

Question.
My mechanic asked if it was the 'adjustable' bush.
I said yes.
However.
On looking at the images on F/B some sellers are quoting two different types.
Same part numbers but dif images.

Yes, upper and lower bushes are different parts.
the upper bush is adjustable, it may be wise to order the bolt, washer and nut as they do seize.

Yes thats what I was thinking.
Noo, where would I get the bolt etc?
Looking at the bush thats in ther the noo it disnae look adjustable.

So, shopping list.

Upper adjustable bearing.
Bolt
Nut

Is ther a kit?

Hi, haven't got my parts list to hand right now, but if you go on advanced factors web site( site sponsor)and look up range rover l322 rear hubs, all the part numbers you require are there, he does post out very quickly, in fact I don't think he's too far from you if you are in Poole.

Both upper and lower bushes (sometimes known as knuckle joints) in themselves are NOT AJUSTABLE, and only differ in size, the lower ones are bigger in diameter and also use a circlip.
The upper ones use a bolt that has a offset washer as part of the bolt head. This locates in a oval recess in the upper suspension arm, so, by rotating the bolt will ajust your camber. That has to be carefully set to avoid scrubbing the rear tyres.
The lower ones use a standard nut and bolt configuration.
