Not a main beam question but, what, if any, are the best replacement dip beam bulbs to buy? I know there xenon but there seems to be quite a choice on eBay?! Mine are useless, all I seem to get is the flicker as soon as you turn them on and then a useless blue/ice/white haze across the road, I much prefer conventional bulbs I must say.
If I jump out of my RR and look at the headlamps they are bright, but where that light is going I have no idea!
Just to add, the lights were aligned on the MOT a few weeks back so no issues there.

The best ones are Osrams ones. The cheap ones will either flicker or like you say throw the light everywhere.

The thing is the headlamp has the ballast/ignitor built into it otherwise there are some decent Led lamps which would be ace as the light is much crisper.

I would also prefer to upgrade the sidelight rings to proper DRL ones similar to L405 but think I might experiment on some spare ones first.

Has someone fitted 6000K HIDs? If so then 4300K are far better.

Thanks guys, this RR is my first l322 so it's a bit of a learning curve with all these mod cons haha

They may well be 6000k, I haven't checked yet, all I'd done was 'mop' the headlamp lenses to remove all the little scuffs, I do recommend doing so to those who've considered it as it did make a difference.

slightly off topic, but not much, i have just brought a 2003 L322 V8 and every time i start the car it says check front fog light, but they are working ok, would it be to the incorrect bulb being fitted? how would i check?

Lens flare... Stand back and to more of an angle, you'll capture the beam of light better Smile

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi,I'm confused, which isn't difficult. My dec 2007 Tdv8 headlamps are xenon but someone mentions they have a shutter mechanism to enable main beam? Why do I have separate main beam lights then that appear a horrid yellow by comparison and seem feeble, presumably halogen h7's? I want rid, should I replace with led or bang in some 100w halogen. Also although I appear to have active swivelling headlamps and cornering lamp fitment in the headlamp unit but i never see any evidence of them working?? Thanks for any forthcoming advice. 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

Rapiscan.. I was exactly in the same situation and couldnt understand the point of the additional bulb for high beam when there is a shutter system on the main beam.

Only thing I can think of is the design which mean if the main beam wasnt xenon then the additional bulb was only meant for high beam.

Dont put 100w bulbs they would look horrid. I would go with the Night Life LEDs i fitted Current:
