Turbo - Sticky Actuators

Hi all,

Well last Nov sold my RR TDV8 (56 reg) for £12500, happy with the sale so thought I'd take it for a last blast. Yes you guessed it, it blows all the coolant and has to be recovered via AA with split hose or broken water pump!! Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

In total disgust I left it there till now, not a wise move.

Just got it all sorted, needed a hose and had a few other things sorted due sitting through the winter.

Now the latest problem, start up the shortly after, boing boing "engine system fault" 4x4 garage that did the work said its got sticking actuators, turbo's are fine its needs running. Runs ok, So how do i lubricate the sticking actuators, any instructions, video's etc, beside this its a very nice car which I'd like to try and sell rather that taking a hit and moving it on with the boing boing!

Any help welcome, otherwise it might be sitting around again for a while!! If its not broke now it soon will !!!

Sticky Actuators

Many thanks for that info.

Had a read, happy to hear that it can be done with good old WD40 followed by 3 in 1 oil.

Think mine only had a small dose of WD40 and need a good bath in 3 in 1.

Unfortunately I think I'm with you in that I'm none the wiser, need a good old video otherwise I'm the type that makes a small job into a disaster.

Thanks again for you input If its not broke now it soon will !!!

Getting a "engine system fault 15-30 seconds after starting, would this relate to the sticky / stuck actuators, what would be the symptoms?

Thanks If its not broke now it soon will !!!
