Conti Slient - Can it be repaired or not?

So I got a puncture outside the flat yesterday and I called National and they said it might not be repairable and I'm waiting on them coming back to me.

So can it be repaired or not?

Also called local Taggarts North and I got offered 6 quid of a tyre which I felt insulting as I offered them the service work in 4k but it's 360 quid fitted by them but I've got hold of a local mobile tyre fitter who can do upto 26" so do I put a new Silent or go for something else cheaper as doing plenty of miles???

Won't keep the car for more than 12 months until new 2018 is available.

P all smug in my new plug!

depends where the puncture is, it could have damaged the sidewall or been run on...
without seeing the tyre its difficult to comment... ... - .- -.

if its a runflat type tyre or the hole is above a certain diameter or their are creases in the tyre , then you cannot repair it..

if you're not happy , take to another tyre centre for a second opinion..... ... - .- -.

They can be repaired, but it's more involved and I bet a lot of places won't want to (scroll down for the English translation):

£360 seems very expensive for one tyre! I understand that if you have a set you want to keep them the same.
I just paid £600 fitted and balanced for four 20" Grabber A/T3's Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

So National Tyres did a great job and repaired the tyre.

Quite annoyed with Taggarts, I mean it was either they didn't know and just made the info up or it's a simple case of don't care and push you towards a sale!!

Anyway all sorted now. all smug in my new plug!
