HK Denso audio problem

hello everyone

first of all, im french so sorry for bad spelling.

i just got myself a L322 HSE TD6, from 2005, it seem to work fine for the most part, got 200 000 KM, all oil change and all.

but here come the problem, it is equiped with the Harman infotainement system, the previous owner said me he had a sound prob with it, and his mecanist just disconneted it.

he did it by unpluging everything from the head unit. so i did reconnect.

problem, it got the LR logo frozen, since before that i already look at forum, i know what the prob should be. so i enter Hiden menu, and confirm MOST ring failur.

after some test, it was the nokia BT modul, i bypass it and everything seen to come back again.

but some new problem apeared, i have the nav working, the connection to OBD ok (every info and 4x4 screen), i have radio working, but no CD, no TV, and some key or turn buton dont work on the head unit. i cant change volume with the hea unit, but i can with the streering wheel command, i cant change the presset for Bass,Mid,Hight nor the balance.

i tried to enter hiden menu again to test the key entry with the diag, but im now unable to enter it.

anyone have a way or may know of what part of the system is broken ?

i already look at the forum to the 40th page without finding the same kind of problem

thank you, Monsavon

Welcome,

before Stan comes on here and suggests it, try a battery reset of the system, the information is in the WIKI at the top, this may or may not help but is easy, free and does work in some cases.

It sounds like you have found the solution to the Nokia module, there is a method with a BIC biro to bypass the unit, which is detailed on here. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

sorry i forget to update the post, i just copy past from an other forum.

i already did a hard reset, tested all fuse, i also tryed the firmware update, but i may had a bad copy of the DVD as it made nothing but make the screen blink from black to LR logo.

i did manage to get the hiden menu back, but still nothing for the other problem

To be pedantic the procedure for a hard reset isn't in WIKI (unless I am missing something). Battery disconnect and reconnect are but not the extra bit for the reset> John

Hi I have a similar problem I have just posted details about the issue I have really strange that after I did a rest by taking the main fuse out for the the infotainment system. I then waited for 10 minutes and also disconnected battery upon reconnecting the battery I noticed my date was back to Dec 2003 how can this be if my car was manufactured back end of 2005 and when I replaced a battery on the car a few months ago the date went back to Sept 2005 which would make sense as a default setting as the car was made 2005 an ideas is this suggesting a software update or something which could cure the problem with the infotainment system I have.
Cheers
Jay

Hi you say that you changed the main unit do you mean the touchscreen or the unit behind the touchscreen.

Right ok thanks for this I have checked every module on my vehicle and bypassed them so it must be my touchscreen also that is causing the same problem that you had. I cannot turn the volume up or down on headunit I cannot select TV , CD, DVD, AUX but I can select REAR SEAT SCREENS and watch TV ,DVD on them it's just limited functions on the main unit. Also I cannot access voice recognition but I can access 4x4 info and the trip computer and the sat nav works also.
