Siemens telephone in l322 no audio problem

I have recently purchased my 2002 l322 and decided to see if I could get the phone up and running.

Instaled sim card replaced batteries and all working.

Problem : tested it on hands free and it worked albeit at a low volume had to turn the sound way up using the + button on steering wheel.

A couple of days later the sound in the car died all together answers the call fine says its on speaker on computer but I can not hear the caller they can hear me perfectly apparently its crystal clear. Handset works fine just hand free thats playing up.

Radio cd player plays through all speakers so front speakers are not dead.

Voice recognition is working and I can hear responses from driver side speaker again volume is very low and I can't seem to turn it up. If I remember rightly (I may be wrong as only took a couple of calls on it) telephone was coming from passenger door speaker.

Has anyone any ideas please was handy to forward calls from my iphone to it.

Try get hold of a BMW INPA cable off eBay and navcoder (there is a free version if you look for it)

Navcoder can read the phone module not sure how many settings are there for the older phone but certainly on the ULF (bluetooth) upgrade it handles the whole module

Thanks for that I will have a look. I had considered going down the ulf bluetooth route do you know anything about the conversion?

I know you have to repin the 54 pin plug before plugging it in and you need a pairing button but can't find any more detail about the parts needed. I have seen ulf units on the bay for as little as £50 but not sure which one I would need.
