United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

I will know more when I have a play with the car but I assume the Spotify for Land Rover app is only compatible with the 10" screen?

My music is all on Spotify, I don't stream I have playlists. Would I therefore play via Bluetooth - and I wonder if I can control the music from the car (eg change track, change playlist etc) - or would I need to control though the phone.

Also, I wonder whether the car will show my texts and emails, read them out to me ? - my 2012 M5 does all of this but not sure quite what to expect with the RR.

I've read about the sim card but i'm confused about it - do I need it? What would it add?

You can play Spotify over Bluetooth, I have an MY17 which although it has a weird habit of not displaying the track info when I use Spotify (you just get dashed lines on the console screen for title, artist etc) it still plays fine and I can skip tracks. I suppose it could be the phone or the car or both not sure.

The car doesn't read out texts or emails as far as I can tell.

The sim card is not vital, if you use Spotify on your phone, the app will use you mobile data as normally. I do have a sim installed in mine, I normally have the car WiFi activated so my phone jumps on to that to save its own data. I think the car live traffic software also uses it if one is installed. I found having a sim fitted was useful in France as it held up better than my phone data network but that could be just down to provider.
