Turning circle 4.2 SC vs non-SC versions

My L322 06 4.2 SC seems to have the turning circle of a barge!

Does the SC have a larger turning circle than the non-SC versions? 2006MY 4.2 SC

Don't think so, pretty much all the main suspension components are the same and arch clearances are unchanged too, so I can't see why the turning circle would be different. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

The only differences I know of are the wider wheels, the 2 inches less wheel articulation, bigger anti-roll bars, and different air suspension struts – there may be more, I just don't know about them.

I was just wondering if these and/or any other changes had resulted in a larger turning circle than regular full fats (or all they all barge-like Razz

Maybe someone who's owned both types may be able to say one way or t'other. 2006MY 4.2 SC

Pretty sure the wheels are the same size as lesser models, the optional 20" on the non sc petrol and the diesels are the same size as the sc wheels and all shod with 255/50/20.

The struts are tuned differently but basically the same design, don't know about the wheel articulation tbh. Never heard that it was different.

They are pretty much all barges, but much less so than a defender. Interestingly the D4 seems to have a better turning circle! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

Specs say the turning circle is 38 feet. .
