Discs and pads - how long is a piece of string?

Ok, 42k miles on the clock and apparently new discs and pads required all round??
Majority is motorway use but mixed with town driving.

I drive it like 'Miss Daisy as a rule as just waft along in it.

No advisories at all on last MOT and I've used that garage for years - they are of the 'should be fine for 6m' type of user friendly guys who don't manufacture work.

Discs and pads suggestion is with main dealer who is generally useless and I'm worrying my view of them is tainting my judgment and I am assuming the worst??

With the other car, we always get through a few pads before discs are needed.

if in doubt have a look yourself, you will be surprised how easy they are to check, just a bit of huffing and puffing to get the wheels off.

Then pretty straight forward to change pads and discs if required. At least you will know for sure if you check yourself. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE
